The Gambia Car Accidents.
The Gambia, a country in Western Africa is the smallest country on the African continent. The River Gambia traces itself through the middle of the country flows into the Atlantic Ocean. The Gambia became independent from the British Empire in 1965. A visitor sent us the picture and story below! The US State Department advises: "Travelers driving a vehicle in The Gambia are obligated to stop at all roadblocks or road checkpoints in the country. Drivers should not reverse direction to avoid a road checkpoint or make any movements that security personnel may view as suspicious or provocative."

A visitor to Gambia observes that: "Driving in the Gambia seems to be an at-your-own-risk policy. There are no street signs, stop and yield signs, and... we came across only one stop light, which most people paid very little attention to."
They continue:" Just drive at your own risk, and maybe you'll get where you're going. The streets in Gambia are also some of the most complex arrangements I have ever seen." There are apparently no street signs, no houses or addresses- navigation is base don landmarks. Streets are not paved, sand dirt and bumps along the way! In the chaos is some method and people manage!
