Dear Sir/Madam, I had an accedent yesterday and i have to get it out of my system, i havent sleep in 32 hours,so this e-mail may not be the most logical but when i try and sleep, i dream about the crash,
It all happened so quickly, i was dropping off my brother
at work, and just 10 seconds later i had slipped and crashed
into a taxi,that hit another taxi infront of him,, This was helped
by a lost driver thats stopped in the middle of the road and
stopped traffic where he should not have, But still i take responsibily
for the whole thing, i took off way too fast for the road condition,
Its Minus -8 at night and in the morning its minus -2 and the
roads in Scotland ,Glasgow are terrible, they not only have black
spots, but the roads gather this slim feeling, thats makes them
look damp or wet but there much more dangerous than snowy roads,
as they give you a fake sense of security, even 3 days ago my
brother slid out at a junction and he was surprised himself and
he has 15 years driving experiance on these roads.
This could have been avoided if i was drving slower and i had
paid more attention to the road ahead, if i had looked deeper
down the road i would have saw the cars brakeing, but its was
all too late, the feeling of the car slipping on the slimmy road
is still in my head and i dont think i will ever get it out,
I put to much faith in the Expensive tires, but its not there
fault or the roads, i know that to never let this happen again,
I must take all the responsibilty myself, with taking thats,
i wont have gained anything,
The car in the pictures is a Honda Accord 97 UK model, i still
have to get the insurance involved, but i hope it will be fixed
soon, right now my brother is carless and i fell bad about this,
but my whole family is glad that am ok, thats the hard thing
to take, I wish they where more upset with me, toady i feel worse
than i did yesterday, the other drivers being taxi drivers, didnt
care to much, they are used to this carnage, but for the average
driver like me, its a shock and a half, i hope thats others reading
this will relise thats we are the instruments of our fate, we
have a hand in everything thats happens to us, good or bad, awareness
is all important, thats could save your life.
