My wife was taking my son to the doctors, his asthma was playing up again. She overcooked it on a right-hand bend, went up a bank on the left and hit a tree which flipped the car back onto the road, on its roof. A following motorist helped them get out of the car and called emergency services.
My son suffered nothing more than a bruise from where the seatbelt restrained him but my wife was kept in hospital overnight for observation due to internal injuries.
The car involved was a 2000 Daewoo Lanos 1.3S. We'd had it for years, was very reliable. Sad to see it go to the crushers. Rest in pieces 00-D-44953
