I was heading home at 6:15pm, still quite daylight, on Interstate 430 northbound in North Little Rock, AR on October 24th, 2011. I just passed under the bridge to Maumelle when out of nowhere a Buck deer started across the road.
I was traveling about 65 mph, and luckily I was a lone wolf between packs of traffic, lucky maybe for others but not for me, or there might have been more damage. It happened in the space of two seconds, unless I drive 20mph on the interstate I couldn't avoid this deer. I figure a new hood, front left quarter panel, headlamp assembly, and driver's door and repaint will fix it right up. As for the Buck, I didn't see hide nor hair of him. No blood or hair on the impact section. He was tougher than Woodpecker lips.
