At approximately 5:00pm on Monday, April 2nd, 2007 my wife and I were in our 2003 Ford Explorer XLT. We were stopped and waiting to make a left turn off of Hwy 26 West when we were struck from the rear. When we finally came to my senses and climbed out of our vehicle we found out that the person who ran into the back of us was 16 yrs. old. A few kind people who stopped to assist stated that the 16 year old driver admitted to them that she was “texting” on her cell phone and did not see us. According to the accident report she stated she was doing 55mph. The Hwy. Patrol cited her for following too close.
To add insult to injury the insurance adjuster (Zack Pace) for her insurance company (Farm Bureau) is refusing to pay all of our medical bills because we underwent treatment for our injuries for more than six weeks. At least that’s what he claims.
