Infiniti M45 Accident with 89 Year Old Driver

This accident happened Thanksgiving Eve 2007 on my way home from work in Marietta, GA. I was only 2 miles from home on a 6 lane road (3 lanes each way) when an 89 year old man pulled out of a CVS, across two lanes of traffic, into the third in which I was traveling approximate 40 - 45 miles per hour. Because there was a van to my right, I never saw it coming. The van stopped suddenly and all of sudden there is a 2007 Lincoln Town Car in my lane. I collided with his driver door and left front fender without time to apply my brakes. My 2003 Infiniti M45 with just 26,000 miles took the brunt of the damage. After having the frame straightened and all the repairs, the total ended up being just over $11,000 damage to my car. A lot of damage under the hood. Fortunately we all walked away with no injuries. The elderly man was sited for not yielding to traffic. Although I still love my M45, it has never been the same. Back to the body shop and the dealer 8 times since with accident related issues. The other driver didn't realize until after 30 minutes that he had been involved in an accident. At some point, people just need to give up the license and the car.
