Well, this accident occured in seaford, delaware on river
road. I had never traveled down that road before and it is a
completely straight road, then all fo the suddent there is a
complete L shaped turn. I was going about 80 on the straight
portion of the road, and I lost control on the turn and I guess
we hit the tree going about 75 because that is where the odometer
was stuck when we went to see the car. It was only me and one
other friend in the car and my only injuries were that I hit
my schin and I have one slipped disc in my back. I was extremely
surprised that my little beetle held up so well and I do believe
volkswagens are among the safest cars you can buy. All of the
firefighters and EMT's were surprised that me and my friend were
perfectly fine. The car is totalled however, costing over 3000.00
for the airbags alone. It was a 1998 vw beetle. It happened on
4/8/07 and it was around 11:30
