This was my sisters 2005 Scion TC. It was only 3 months old and had 4500 miles on it. She was turning left at a light off a two lane highway, which had a sign "NO LEFT TURN." The traffic coming in the opposite direction was allowed to turn left. Blocking her view of the oncoming traffic was a Yukon SUV which was allowed to turn at that light.
Not seeing any traffic coming she turned blindly and at the same time a red 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab was traveling about 55-60MPH and slammed into her head-on as she turned. He then bounced off her and hit a telephone pole head on. Both cars were totaled. The driver of the truck walked away, my sister went to the hospital for a check-up. She wasn't hurt, just a little sore. She was wearing her seatbelt and had 2 airbags on her side, one out of the steering wheel and one for her knees. I thank god everyday that she wasn't hurt.
