Chevy Cavalier Slammed in Desert
Rio Rancho, New Mexico, USA
This was my friend Becca's 2004 Chevy Cavalier. I was driving behind her in my '01 Ford Taurus on 5/8/2011. Construction limited the road to one lane in one direction. A construction vehicle was driving in the opposite direction on the shoulder. The cars in front of her swerved and all slammed on their brakes. My friend didnt see everyone stop until she was 10 get behind a '99 Chevy Blazer. She slammed on the brakes and her tires skidded. I witnessed it happen and slammed on my brakes and swerved off the side of the road saving my car from damage. Her car on the other hand, hit the blazer at roughly 30-35 miles per hour. It was a total loss. All 7 persons in both cars were fine. The blazer had just $800 of damage to the bumper. Thank god for her seatbelts.
