Ford Edge 15 Car Pileup New Orleans Louisiana

A coworker and I were on our way home from work at about 7:30 am on Sunday February 17th 2008 heading east bound on I-10 in New Orleans Louisiana towards Slidell, LA. Traffic was slowing and coming to a stop due to a broken down vehicle in the slow lane. As soon as we came to a stop a 2007 Dodge Ram slammed into the back of us going about 80 mph.

I remember hearing screeching of tires and a flash. Next thing I knew my passenger was telling me that she hurts all over. As I looked into the rearview mirror I saw the pile up that ensued after our accident. I think a total of 15 cars were involved in the pile up.

My car was pushed up a bridge about 300 ft from where we were stopped. We were both wearing our seat belts which probably prevented us from being ejected. We both walked away from this accident and as far as I know there were no fatalities in the other crashes. My car and the Dodge are both a total loss. The driver of the Ram had insurance but only the minimum (10000/20000) not enough to cover his 2007 Dodge Ram let alone my 4 month old Ford Edge SEL. Se la vive. Look how well this car handled this crash. I'm getting another!!!! Christina
