This accident happened on February 4th, 2008 in Springfield Massachusetts. A tractor trailer that was partially loaded was standing still waiting to make a left hand turn, when this Ford Ranger Pickup plowed into the back. It tore the steel off the cross members of the ICC bar and bent it almost into the tires of the Trailer.
The driver of the pickup was an elderly gentleman who said he had a hard time stopping. The roads were kind of slick from a snow squall that had just moved through, but looking at the damage to the ICC and the Pickup, I'd have to say that he was going quite fast and he walked away without even a scratch.
