Date: St. Patricks Day 1999 Location: Gin Gin, QLD, Australia
Car: 52 XW Falcon Time: 3:45 pm
My Girlfriend and i were returning home from her parent's house
when we came upon an intersection with the highway. I was doing
about 60 when i put my foot on the brake but there was nothing
there. We went out into the intersection and were met by a Semi
doing 120. He hit us on the front left, breaking the car in two,
and sending us round in circles several times. Upon learning
that there was a school bus parked just near the intersection,
witnesses told us that the Trailor went over the back of the
car. The Cabin where we were sitting is the only undamaged part
of the whole car. My girlfriend's Father owned the Car, He was
not happy. We had a few cuts and bruises from bouncing around
the car because we were not wearing our seatbelts. I feel that
we survived only because of the fast reaction from the Semi Driver.
Oh, and i'm Irish. Thankyou St. Patty.
