This accident happened in Springfield, Massachusetts at about 2:30 in the morning. I had just got woke up and went into my kitchen to get a drink, when I heard a LOUD crash and a car horn. I ran outside and saw somebody had run into the rear of a Honda Accord, pushing it into 2 other vehicles. After the initial shock, the Mercury Mountaineer, had hit Honda Accord pushing the Accord, into a Saturn station wagon was pushed into the back of my Flatbed Tow Truck, so all together, there was 4 vehicles involved. The Accord was hit so hard, that the trunk was actually pushed into the back seat and had lifted the rear of the Saturn off the ground and was wedged under it. I had to use my tow truck to lift the Saturn off of the Accord so it could be dragged out from underneath it.
Fortunately, the 17 yr old driver was not hurt and had only minor cuts from the air bag, but apparently, he had fell asleep behind the wheel when he hit all of us and was not supposed to be driving after 1am.
The lady who owns the Saturn, usually sits in her car, but luckily for her, she was not in it when this happened and everybody made it out ok.
The photos are kinda dark, but they were taken at 3:00 am so there was not much light except for the flash on my camera. -Arment
