On the 22nd, that was a Friday, I was already tired. We and
the kids went to see the giant lantern festival up til 11pm,
and then when we got home, I still stayed up late chatting to
my cousin, he slept over that day, and I went to bed past 3 in
the morning, 23rd already, Saturday. Had only 2 hours or more
of sleep because we have to go to the market before 6. On the
same day, I was to meet up my friends for our Christmas get together
that,s why right after the marketing, I went straight to see
them. We went to our house at 3 in the afternoon, we cooked foods
that they brought, we stayed in the house. By 7 in the evening,
half of them were already gone, some still stayed till 12 in
the evening. I wasn,t really expecting that we would still be
going out but some wanted to go so we still went out after drinking
just a little bit at home.
We were out up till 3 in the morning and so we decided to go
home. But because I was also thinking of them, of what might
happen to them, I dropped them off to their houses so as to ensure
their safety. The real plan was that a friend from Bulaon will
be the first to be dropped to his house because his home is a
bit far but another friend asked if she could be the first one
because its already late. So our friend from Bulaon was the last
one that I dropped of to their house. It was far and dark and
cold on my way to and from his place, a thing that aggravated
the situation but I was about to ask him if I could use the bathroom
for me to freshen up but I was shy so I just hesitated to ask.
On my way back to the hi-way, I stopped for a while in the street
because I felt nauseated but not sleepy. But when I was out on
the road, that,s the time I could remember that I really feel
sleepy but still tried to fight it off and went on driving, I
was on Sindalan and it was past 3 in morning of 24th, Saturday.
I fell in a short nap when the accident happened and when I felt
the impact on the abdomen and the difficulty in breathing because
of perhaps the impact of my front part on the steering wheel,
I was awaken with pain. Then my mouth also hurts, has blood,
I thought it was just a simple impact, but when I looked on the
side where the passenger,s seat was, the window was shattered,
the dash board was down on the side; that,s when I realized that
it wasn,t just a simple clash.. I know in myself that it,s not
because of the alcohol but because of tiredness because if I
was also drunk badly, I would not be able to remember my valuables
that I kept in the compartment which I kept right after realizing
what happened right before I went down the car to check on the
outside.
My phone was out when I tried to call tatay and auntie so this
passer by went to the site and lend some help so I called auntie
and tatay from the passer by,s phone after which we went off
to the nearby hospital. On the hospital, the doctor said that
it,s a blessing that only the bruises on my elbow and knees with
the injury on my mouth were all I got from the accident. I had
my xray and all other stuff. Tatay, auntie and uncle went right
away to see me. The police report is now cleared, we just paid
the towing, they moved the car from the spot where I hit the
post to the other side of the road near the Shell Telabastagan.
