My boyfriend and I were on our way to see a movie and get
some dinner and on the way, a woman blew a stop sign and pulled
out into the highway right in front of me. I slammed the brakes
so hard that my shin broke on impact, but my boyfriend and I
were both wearing our seatbelts, so even though my car was too
old for airbags, we survived.
The woman in the other car was not wearing her seat belt and
I believe she died immediately.
This was just over a year ago, and though I have screws and a
metal rod in my leg now, I'm happy to be alive. These pictures
are of my car in the junkyard afterward.
