This is a couple of photos of a Police Cruiser that was damaged in an accident. They were responding to another Police Officers call for assistance in a stolen vehicle chase with lights and siren active, when a vehicle pulled out into an intersection, striking the cruiser on the passenger side, forcing it across the street into the curbing on the drivers side, and bending the rim (or control arms). Fortunately, both Officers suffered only minor injuries. As for the other driver who pulled out into the intersection, I can only "assume" that she was cited, but she was not injured either. These photos were taken on April 17 in Springfield Mass. Arment

Yes, other drivers often do not yield to motorists who pull over for ambulances or emergency vehicles. The drivers arriving after those who have pulled over ( and who do not allow those who pulled over back into traffic) pretend to be "unaware", but that is not really the case they obviously have seen the ambulance and the others drivers who have conscientiously pulled to the side they just have no courtesy or class. (Such apparently as this Nissan driver) Watch out!!! This just happened to me the other day and I avoided a near collision. Editor BK 4/15/08
