Truck and Tractor Ride Crash

This is one you had to see to believe. My father was loading his tractor onto and trailer attached to his truck one evening right at dusk. In Georgia we get quite a bit of condensation on the grass at dusk. His truck was parked on the grass right next to his paved, asphalt driveway. As he pulled the tractor onto the trailer, the weight of the tractor pulled the trailer up about 10 inches. Since the trailer was attached to the truck, it also pulled the rear of the truck up just enough for the rear wheels to break traction.
Since the rear wheels contain the emergency brake and are the only ones held by the transmission when the truck is in park, down the hill the entire thing went. Truck, trailer and tractor (with my dad sitting on it). About half way down the hill my dad jumped off the tractor, landed in the grass and watched his truck and vintage tractor careen down the hill into a tree. When all was said and done, dad recieved some bruises. The truck was totalled, but the trailer and tractor were repaired and in service today. Just shows you that accidents can happen anywhere....even auto accidents. =)
