Location: Martin Michigan, US 131 This is what me and a friend lived through 2 years ago. It was about 11:45 pm on a wednesday night. We were coming home from school when out of no where we got hit in the backend. We were going 65-70mps down the highway, and no ones knows how fast he was going since he dont remember ever hitting anyone and drove off. I remember everything that happened that night in which my friend does not. (good thing to).
We rolled at least 9 times down the highway and then when all was done i looked and my friend was no longer in the car. She had been thrown from the driver side window and the tracker we were driving came to rest on top of her. Lucky for her it landed right side up. She suffered a head injury, broken bones in her leg, and 4th degree burns on her arm, and her foot and little on her face frim the muffler being on top of her. She is very lucky to be alive and the guy that hit us was found and convicted if u can call it that. Why is it the victim gets a longer sentence then the criminal.
Come find out this was second offence and he was only 22 yrs old. I on the other hand ended up with back pain which ended up having surgery for and will prob have again soon since it didnt work. The fact that I never got to finish school, and the haunting memory of finding my friend stuck under the car and nothing i could do but wait will haunt my dreams forever. And i hate to drive at night now.
