Street Race Accident:

February 2002 - Manchester, England Whilst racing (foolishly) with the red Peugeot 205 in the picture, I made a move to pass on the right on a quite duel carrigeway. However I turned too sharply and the back of the car kicked out. At about 80mph the car turned 180 degrees and continued at the same speed backwards. The car went rear first into a steel pedestrian protector at about 70mph. The pedestrian protector certainly did its job, as it stayed put and the car took all the damage. Luckily nobody was sitting in the rear seats (they would have died, no question). As we reversed at over 70mph I said to my passenger in the front seat, "This is it".
After the crash we both just sat their amazed that we were ok. We got out pretty quickly when we could smell petrol in the cabin! We had to kick both doors to get them open. We both had absolutly no injuries.
