Hi my name is Amber P. and I was just recently in a pretty bad car accident. It happened September 24, 2005 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A drunk driver made a quick left hand turn right in front of my vehicle. The drunk driver pulled out in front of me and caused me to T-Bone his mini van.
The impact made my leg snap, the doctors call it a compound break, which means I broke both bones in the lower part of my right leg and it punctured the skin. The following morning of the accident I went in for my first surgery and now I have a titanium rod through the bottom of my right leg. Four days later I had my second surgery, they cleaned and sewed up the gapping hole where the bone came out.
So after a week in the hospital I was released and now have to go through lots of physical therapy before I can walk again. So thanks to all the drunk drivers out there for ruining innocent lives everyday!
