This accident happened Friday October 7th in Vermont. This
is a perfect example of why we wear seatbelts....it is not known
what the exact cause was, my sister-in-law thinks maybe something
ran in front of her.
She was going about 45 mph, went off the road, took out a split
rail fence and hit a tree...just about perfect center of the
blazer she was driving. My nephew was in the front seat. The
jaws were used to extricate them. It could have been much worse..in
the end, my nephew had a cut on his face, bruises and abrasions
from the seat belt, and had hit what we believe was the dashboard
with his head. He has quite a bruised up and swollen head and
eye, but other than that...all tests for a head injury were negative
and he spent the following 2 days with us, playing xbox with
his uncle and cousin! My sister in law, sprained her ankle and
broke her wrist, which she'll need surgery on...but that was
it (not that that is good, but it could have been a much worse
situation). Some one was definitely watching out for them!
WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS EVERYONE....IT SAVED BOTH OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS!!!
