Passing AccidentHighway 115 South Dakota

Hi there. My name is Autumn and I would like to provide information on my car accident. On June 20, 2008 I was driving a purplish 1997 Dodge Neon on South Dakota Highway 115 heading north towards Dells Rapids. I was about 2-3 miles south of Baltic Corner when I started passing a hunter green Ford Explorer.

The Explorer started speeding up and slowing down and wouldn't let me back in. A car started heading south towards Sioux Falls on the highway. The car kept getting closer and closer and the Explorer wouldn't let me in, so I went to the far shoulder of the road to try and avoid hitting the Explorer and the oncoming vehicle. The rural mail carrier was driving on the shoulder of the road in an older model vehicle that I believe might have been a Jeep Cherokee. I slammed on the breaks and the rural mail carrier and I hit each other. Her vehicle went into the ditch and mine spun a little bit on the shoulder of the road. The rural mail carrier got a 2 inch gash across her head and some bruises and little cuts. I broke 2 foot bones in my right foot, tore all the tendons apart in my right ankle, got burns and cuts and bruises, tore my labrum in my right shoulder, and at
the time I had braces so they went through my lip and my lip was intensely swollen. Thanks,
