Hello, My name's John. I'm 19 and I live in Portland, Oregon. I've been in two car accidents. One which was not my fault. This is the story I'd like to share, it's a reminder to keep your eyes on the road at all times!
While I was not at fault in this accident, it proves a point at the end. I was stopped at a traffic light for about 20 seconds, as well as a black pickup truck behind me. Unfortunately a gentleman in a huge mid 1980's Suburban was not looking where he was going, speeding, and hit the black pickup behind me, who was forced into me, even though he was at least one car-length from me. I was hit so hard that my seat broke and sent my knees into the dashboard, bruising them and making it very hard to walk. My neck and back also hurt for weeks on end. My Pontiac, that I had put years of work into was totaled. I'm trying to stop speeding by spreading the word to leave your home at least 10 minutes earlier than you normally would. Perhaps then, accidents like mine could have been avoided. See the attached picture.
