Hits Out of Control Ford
Hampstead, Maryland

I was driving on the winding backroads of Hampstead, Maryland at 9:30 in the morning after just having dropped my 2 kids to school. The date was January 30, 2003. Up ahead of me was a sharp turn in the road and I myself had just come out of a bend.
What I saw was a Ford F150 turned sideways in the road and I was like "What the???" The response time was zero really...next thing I know he does a 360 in the middle of the road and then hits me with the front of his truck first hitting the passenger front of my 2002 Honda Odyssey, then wrapping around to my side. The airbags went off and I quickly got myself out of the car with some help. Apparently, the truck hit ice, oversteered and then lost control...I didn't even know it was icy outside!
I had REALLY bad whiplash with nerve damage to this day. I had multiple bruises all over me; my knees, my hips and my chest. Somehow I managed not to hit my head. It was like a bat hitting my car "thwack!" and then the 2nd impact left down ! and turned sideways in my seat. There was another car after me that came around the bend trying to avoid us, flipped her car on its side and it careened down on top of us, thankfully NOT hitting me again!
