Hi, My name is Sam, and know how it feels to have a chunk of your life ripped out of your memory. It was the worst feeling looking at this Picture from my hosptial bed January 13th 2001. I had always prided myself being an excellent driver, i would purposely stake out empty parking lots during bad weather just to be the "best damn driver" on the road. Well, all that....didn't prepare me for what happened on the 13th, saturday morning. I was just on my way to work, and i was running late. Heavy fog was around, but that didn't phase me out. After all, i had been on that road ( just 4 houses away ) for thousands of times.

My lack of respect for BAD WEATHER conditions ultimately led me to lose concentration ( felt like it wasn't even ONE second . ) I lost control, and in an attempt to regain it, i swerved onto the oncoming lane, hitting a telephone poll. My divorced custom low rider took a couple fantastic flips. I was given 300 stitches on my scalp from "multiple head trauma", my lower right half of my lip was literally torn off....and i was less than I mm, from looking at the world through a glass eye. Plastic surgery helped a little.

ALL OF MY INJURIES MIGHT'VE BEEN MINIMIZED HAD I BEEN WEARING A SEAT BELT ! Instead, i turned inward the custom GT steering wheel like an
umbrella.......
