This happened to my wife as she was pulling out of a Burger King Restaruant on her way to a doctors appointment for our 2 yr old.
There is a curve down the road about 100 ft and it is a straight stretch of road so cars come down this road fast. She had looked in both directions before she pulled out and didn't see anybody and started to pull out into the intersection. As she did, a Chevy Blazer came around this corner and switched from the right lane to the left lane and still hit our car ripping off the entire front end.
The bumper; bumper mount; radiator and grille were all damaged. You can see the corner in 1 of the photos that people came around at high speeds and Springfield knows about the problem because they've had numerous accidents at this particular intersection and they have not done anything to correct the problems here. Fortunately, all 3 of my kids were not hurt and everybody was wearing thier seatbelts.
I suggest that everybody wear thier seatbelt.
