Nicole Kidman in Car Crash While Filming
Nicole Kidman- the famous actress- was involved in a car accident January 25 2007. She was driving (or eally in the drivers seat) when a specially equipped tow truck that was towing the car during filming lost control causes it to crash into a pole. According to the press seven other people sustained minor injuries on the Los Angeles film set where the incident happened. Kidman and the seven others injured were all taken to the hospital, but none of the injuries were very serious. According to a statement by the movie studio, Warner Bros, the actress Kidman and two crew members were slightly injured, which contradicted the Los Angles police which stated that eight people were injured. The Move studio was likely trying to downplay the accident.
Kidman was being filmed for her role in a new science fiction
film called 'The Invasion." She plays a Washington psychiatrist
who discovers the origin of an alien epidemic.
Los Angeles Police media person Karen Smith told the news that
police would conduct a routine traffic accident investigation
and that the California workplace safety agency would investigate.
Police Officer Karen Smith also stated: "The stunt driver
apparently went off course and hit a light post at about 1 a.m."
Us Weekly magazine reported that the Kid man's car was being
towed at about 45 miles an hour at the time of the accident-
presumably during an action sequence. Another reports states
that the car was involved in a scene where she was escaping from
zombielike creatures which are on the hood of the car. This reports
says that the car was a Jaguar that was being towed by a camera
rig. The car then skidded while taking a corner which caused
Kidman's car to hit a pole. Nicole was wearing her seat belt!
We can only assume that the Zombies were not- as they were on
the hood.
