Eastern and Silvercrest- the danger zone
Here is one of the several wrecks a year that occurs here. This was a 2005 Honda CRV. I arrived about 2 or 3 minutes after it happened. CHP was just getting there. This is the 2nd time this house has been hit. The 1st time caused $45000 in damage to the house, this time, the damage is not yet known. It looks a lot worse, but the last time, a gas line was cracked and had to be replaced, if the car had gone any further, the house would have gone up in flames. HAZMAT was there the 1st time. This time, it hit in the corner or where the kitchen is and their office. Just inches from where their dryer stoped, was a $5400 poster printer, that would have been a bitch to replace. Anyway, this happened yesterday about 4:00 pm, at Eastern and Silvercrest Avenue in Sacramento, CA. There are several accidents at this intersection a year. I sent a letter to CALTRANS, they responded that there was one recorded accident in the last 5 years, that was when A guy (down the street, I might add) flipped over multiple times and was ejected from the car, and had to be life flighted away.
