This accident was actually one my sister and her best friend
were involved in August 2, 2006. They were driving in their lane,
my sister was sleeping in the passenger seat, and her friend
amanda was driving. It was an extremely hot day and Amanda got
a headache, so she took off her seatbelt... as she kept driving
they think she had a heat stroke... and passed out... at that
time, my sister woke up, looked up, and saw they were going into
the other lane and screamed "amanda"... when amanda
quickly awoke, it was too late... they side swiped a dump truck,
then swerved back onto their side of the road, where they flipped
their car several times, rolling over a cliff and into a field...
Amanda was ejected from the car, landing about 7 feet away from
it. My sister, brittney was trapped in the car... while passerby's
attempted to get my sister out of the car, it caught on fire...
and my sister was pulled through the passenger window.... someone
put out the flames with a fire extinguisher....
Both were sent to the hospital, my sister by ambulance, and Amanda
was life flighted. Amanda won't be out of the hospital until
at least October, and then she'll be in a rehabilitation center
to learn to use her arm and leg (both of which they thought they'd
have to amputate).

Again the accident happened on August 2, 2006... in lehighton,
Pennsylvania... on Rt 209...
