Skid on Black Ice: Pontiac
Manitoba Canada
Find Auto Accident Lawyers: Click Here I had left work on my lunch break to go and pick up some food for myself and a co-worker, and was on my way back to the workplace. I had just turned off of Panet Road, onto Reendeers Drive and switched to get into the far left turning lane to turn left to go onto #59. I was travelling at approximately 40 k.p.h. and following maybe a bit to close, when I hit black ice and slid into the back of a Ford Ranger 4x4. The other driver got out of his truck to survey the damage, and he had none. My poor car received all of it. There were pieces all over. Of course not one person stopped they just looked really hard, it was kind of embarassing to say the least.
My car is a 2003 Grand Am which I love. I felt terrible.
But my car is in the process of getting fixed right now. Damage was estimated at over $1500.00. But the bodyshop said they had to rip it all apart and see if there was any more damage. The bodyshop manager told me that it would probably be ten days before I saw my car again especially wit it being so close to Christmas.
