Bad Fatal Crash

This 2 vehicle collision claimed the lives of Jessie D, and
Ryan H., both men were 19, and 60 year old Mr. B., all were residents
of wallaceburg. This incident happend about 3:30 A.M sunday when
Hastings northbound grand am crossed the line and collided with
Mr. B's southbound cab, a dodge caravan. Mr. B was the sole occupant
in the van.
The impact demolished both front ends of the vehicles and sent
them spinning, leaving the car facing south in the middle of
the highway and the van facing north in the ditch were it caught
fire. What was left of the front ends was forced back into the
mangled cabs of the vehicles. The impact even warped the steering
wheels. H. and Mr. B were pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr. D., a passenger in the grand am later died at the hospital
with extensive injuries. The front passenger of the car, was
listed in stable condition sunday evening. Sunday was Mr. B's
60th Birthday. He had driven cab for more than 22 years, and
always worked the night shift. Infact, he was on his way to chatham
to pick up a fare. He often covered the fare for his customers.
He will always be remembered as the one sitting in the corner
of the cab stand telling jokes .
